Experience Conservation with #Rhinomoon
Interested in the world of rhino conservation? Join us for a #Rhinomoon adventure!
South Africa is home to about 90% of the world's rhino population, and at Rhino Connect, we're dedicated to sharing the achievements in rhino conservation. For nearly a decade, we've been conducting #Rhinomoon weekends during the full moon, a period historically linked to heightened poaching activity. These events offer a unique opportunity to learn about and support conservation efforts in a safe and regulated environment.
A #Rhinomoon weekend provides an educational and observational experience. You'll get an up-close look at the vital work of Anti-poaching Units and understand the intricacies of protecting these magnificent creatures. You will gain valuable insights into the challenges and successes of wildlife management and conservation.
Our program includes informative sessions on private rhino ownership, rhino behavior, and broader wildlife management topics. You'll be introduced to skills like spoor-tracking and observation, essential in anti-poaching efforts, and participate in safe, instructional activities like rifle handling and target shooting (purely for educational purposes).
We welcome all ages to this enlightening journey into rhino conservation, where every experience contributes to the protection of these endangered animals.
